Whale Bone Museum
Description
More formally the Marine Mammal Museum, run by Silliman University’s Institute of Environmental and Marine Sciences (IEMS) — located about 2km north of the main campus, not on campus itself, so it’s easy to miss if you’re expecting it near the Anthropology Museum. Houses a large collection of whale and dolphin bones/skeletal specimens, tied to IEMS’s marine research work in the Tañon Strait area, one of the Philippines’ major whale and dolphin habitats.
