Panaad Park and Stadium

Description

Stadium and multi-purpose sports complex, inaugurated 1998 in Barangay Mansilingan — ‘Panaad’ means ‘vow’ or ‘promise’ in the local dialect. Permanent home of the week-long Panaad sa Negros Festival (started 1993), where all 13 cities and municipalities of Negros Occidental compete and each maintains a small replica of their own local landmarks within the complex — genuinely useful if you want a compressed, one-stop view of the whole province’s identity. Hosted the 2005 Southeast Asian Games and three editions of the Palarong Pambansa (1971, 1974, 1979); also used for Philippines Football League and AFC Cup matches.
