Bacolod Public Market
Description
Public market — also known as Central Market, the city’s main public market on Father Mauricio Ferrero Street (the same street as Manokan Country). Open daily, roughly 10am-2am — later hours than a typical wet market. One-stop for fresh seafood, vegetables, meat, clothing, and household goods; early morning is best for the freshest produce. Locally recommended buys include sweet mangoes and piaya (a flatbread filled with muscovado sugar, a Negros specialty tied to the province’s sugar heritage).
