Getting to Dauin’s dive sites
Description
Unlike Apo Island, Dauin’s muck-diving sites don’t need a boat crossing at all — most are direct shore entries along the Circumferential Road, right in front of the resort strip, or short banca hops of a few minutes. Dauin proper is roughly 15-20 minutes south of Dumaguete by tricycle, jeepney, or private car along the same coastal road that continues on to Zamboanguita and Malatapay. Almost every dive resort along this stretch runs its own house reef and organizes trips to the named sites (Cogon, Largahan-area equivalents, San Miguel in neighboring Zamboanguita) — independent/non-guest divers can usually book a trip through any dive shop along the strip even if not staying there.
