Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental: The Far Southwest Coast

Description

The southernmost stop on Negros’ west coast, past Sipalay — genuinely remote, with its own coastal curve, forest pockets, river corridor, and a west-facing ‘sunset belt’ that locals and the few visitors who make it this far specifically value for sunset views. Nabulao Dive and Beach Resort, covered separately in this project’s diving content, sits here — a different, more remote diving base than the Dauin/Apo Island cluster or even Sipalay itself.

HOW TO GET THERE: The end of the line on Sipalay-bound buses from Bacolod (buses to Hinoba-an pass through Sipalay first) — roughly 4-5 hours from Bacolod, longer than Sipalay itself given the extra distance.

BEST TIME: Daytime for the coastal/ridge areas; sunset specifically for the western coastal belt this town is named for locally.
