Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital
Description
Government provincial hospital in Barangay Lantad — one of three Capitol-owned hospitals in Negros Occidental, and the province’s first residency training hospital (Level II accreditation from the Philippine College of Physicians for Internal Medicine). Serves a large share of Bacolod patients as well as Silay’s. PhilHealth-accredited for cancer screening, HIV-AIDS treatment, and animal bite treatment — there’s a dedicated Animal Bite Treatment Center on site, worth knowing for anyone dealing with a dog or animal bite. A mammogram unit was added to Radiology in 2025, and a ₱100-million Center for Emerging and Re-emerging Infectious Diseases (CEMREID) opened here, partly to house hospital operations while the older main building is renovated — worth confirming which building is operating on arrival. Roughly 0.9km (11 min walk) from Silay Public Plaza.
