Cinco de Noviembre Marker
Description
Historical marker on Calle Cinco de Noviembre commemorating the bloodless revolution in Silay on 5 November 1898, when the town was taken from Spanish control without fighting. Features a cannon made by the local blacksmith known as Panday Pera. The date gives the street its name and anchors Silay’s identity as a revolutionary as well as a sugar-era town. Roughly 0.3km (3 min walk) from Silay Public Plaza.
