Aida’s
Description
Chicken inasal restaurant/stall — one of the original and most famous Manokan Country stalls — founded in the 1970s by the Tarrosa family, named after matriarch Aida. Started as a batchoy carinderia before pivoting to chicken inasal when neighboring vendors began grilling chicken; became one of the pioneer stalls of what’s now Manokan Country. Widely cited (including by locals and taxi drivers) as the top pick among the row’s chicken inasal vendors — go-to order is the pecho (breast) or paa (thigh), plus off-menu grilled oysters. Has expanded with a Metro Manila branch (Makati Cinema Square) and other Bacolod branches. TIME-SENSITIVE: the Manokan Country original stall is currently operating from temporary stands at the SM City Bacolod terminal hub due to the 2025 demolition/redevelopment — confirm current location before publishing.
