Bacolod Lagoon Evening Rhythm

Description

Evening walking and gathering rhythm around the lagoon. In Bacolod. Waterfronts and boulevards fill in the early evening with walkers, joggers, families and food carts — the coolest part of the day and the most sociable. Dumaguete’s Rizal Boulevard is the best-known, but most coastal towns have their own version. WHAT TO DO: walk, eat from carts, sit. NIGHTLIFE: waterfront strips are where what bar life exists tends to be, particularly in Dumaguete and Bacolod. SAFETY: well-lit and busy while people are out, and generally safe; it thins quickly after about 10pm, and quiet waterfront stretches late at night are worth avoiding alone.
