Mt. Bandilaan National Park
Description
The island’s highest peak and forested national park, with hiking trails, medicinal plants, and a viewing tower offering panoramic views of Siquijor and neighboring islands. Most notable as the site of the annual Siquijor Healing Festival, held every Holy Week (started 2010) — a genuine, still-practiced cultural event where local herbalists and ‘bolo-bolo’ faith healers demonstrate traditional practices, tied to Siquijor’s long-standing ‘healing island’/witchcraft folklore. Worth timing a visit around Holy Week specifically if the festival itself is of interest, since it’s not a year-round draw the way the tree or falls are.
