Also formerly called Isla Bonita — the name means ‘hidden sea.’ A sheltered coastal area near the hamlet of Matlag (Lat-asan Cove) scattered with about a dozen islets covered in vegetation, seagrass beds on the sea bottom, and old-growth mangroves along the shoreline. Accessible from the highway and close to the city, which is part of what makes it unexpected. Noted locally as a good sunset spot. About 4.4km from Punta Ballo Beach — vehicle or boat distance.
