Dumaguete – Dauin – Malatapay

Dumaguete – Dauin – Malatapay
Dumaguete – Dauin – Malatapay

Description

The south coastal highway out of Dumaguete, through Bacong and Dauin to Malatapay in Zamboanguita. Functionally this is the dive-coast road: Dauin’s shoreline barangays hold the concentration of resorts and muck-diving entry points, and the road carries a steady mix of local traffic and dive-shop vehicles. Malatapay is the working end of the drive — the beachside market and boat area that serves as the jump-off for Apo Island crossings. The drive is short and flat, and its value is in what sits just off it: the marine sanctuary entry points, the resort access roads, and the boat arrangements at the end.
