Silliman Anthropology Museum
Description
Housed inside Silliman Hall on Rizal Boulevard in Barangay Bantayan — a wooden building from the early 1900s in American Eastern Stick Style architecture, itself a recognized National Landmark. The museum’s collection spans archaeological finds (including Sung-dynasty era porcelain and burial urns from 1970s excavations by Silliman anthropologists) through ethnographic artifacts from Filipino indigenous groups. Open Monday-Friday 8:30-11:30am and 2:30-5pm. Phone (035) 422-6002 loc. 207. The building’s distinctive facade is a recurring image on Dumaguete postcards and tourism material.
