Canlaon Mountain Farm Zone

Description

Mixed farming in the Canlaon foothill barangays — vegetables, root crops, and fruit. In Canlaon, the mountain city on Kanlaon’s slopes, the highest farming country on the island. Farming outside the sugar estates is smallholder and mixed — vegetables, root crops, fruit and cacao often on the same land. Upland farms supply the lowland city markets, which is why highland towns matter far beyond their size. Roadside stalls near the farms sell at the lowest prices you’ll find.

Tips
Highest farming country on the island and correspondingly cool — the market draws from barangays most visitors never reach. Combine with Kanlaon"s northern trailheads if you"re hiking.
Stops

How to get there
On the main highway route through this part of the island; Ceres buses and jeepneys serving the corridor pass through.
