Don Bernardino Jalandoni Museum
Description
Heritage house museum — known locally as ‘the Pink House’ for its distinctive colour, built 1908, the original residence of Don Bernardino Jalandoni and Doña Ysabel Lopez Ledesma, now cared for by the Silay Heritage Foundation. On Rizal Street at the northeast corner of the heritage zone, walking distance from the church. Guides in Filipiniana costume tour visitors through. Ground floor displays include a Santol-root wood carving and an 18th-century weaving tool from the era before sugar took over the Negros economy — a genuinely useful reminder that the island had a weaving industry first. Also used as a venue for cultural and artistic events. Open Tuesday-Sunday, roughly 9am-5pm (some sources say 10am-6pm), entrance around ₱50-60. Roughly 0.3km (4 min walk) from Silay Public Plaza.
