Dumaguete – Twin Lakes

Dumaguete – Twin Lakes
Dumaguete – Twin Lakes

Description

The drive from Dumaguete to the Balinsasayao Twin Lakes, splitting into two distinct halves: a flat run north on the coastal highway, then a sustained inland climb to around 800 metres, the biggest elevation change of the Dumaguete-area drives. The turnoff leaves the highway north of Sibulan and the road immediately changes character — steep, winding, and in places rough, climbing through forest to the national park information centre above the lakes. The climb is the drive; the lakes at the top are crater lakes inside a protected area, with entry handled at the information centre and boats and paddling arranged inside.
