Second stall from the south end of the Katada Street painitan row, part of the same open-air breakfast section of Dumaguete’s public market. Like its neighbours, it’s a native food stall built around puto and tsokolate or sikwate (hot chocolate from pure tablea), with budbud, coffee, and other market breakfast staples typically available along the row. The whole stretch opens well before sunrise, generally 3:30–4:30am, ahead of the market’s main morning trade, and most stalls keep serving into the early afternoon. There’s no indoor seating anywhere in this row — everyone sits on open benches under the market roof, weather permitting. Vendors here have historically run cash-only, though QR payment (GCash, Maya, PalawanPay) has been spreading through the market’s stalls since the city’s 2024 digital-payment push, so it’s reasonable to ask before assuming otherwise.
